Move Out Process Details

PLEASE READ IN ITS ENTIRETY 

As you prepare for your upcoming move-out, we want to ensure that the transition is as smooth and efficient as possible. To help with this process, please download the move-out checklist that needs to be followed. These steps are essential in maintaining the property’s condition and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

We do want to elaborate on a few things included in that list, however the attached list needs to be fully completed. 

Additionally, please have these items scheduled ahead of time as cleaners get booked fairly quickly. If you are not occupying the property at the time of scheduled service we can assist with letting them in. All items will need to be completed by the lease start date for a proper move-in. 

Professional Deep Cleaning

The property must be professionally deep cleaned by a reputable cleaning company. This includes all areas of the home, such as bathrooms, kitchens, and living spaces, inside all cabinets and apppliances. When scheduling please let the cleaners know this will need to be a “move outdeep clean”.

Professional Carpet Cleaning

All carpets in the property should be professionally shampooed. Please provide receipts or proof of service upon completion.

Drywall and Paint Repairs

Any damage to drywall or paint should be repaired. This includes patching any holes, addressing scuffs, and touching up paint as needed. These can be completed by yourselves.

Powerwash

If this has been completed in the last 6 months you can skip this. Annual powerwash is required by homeowners to maintain HOA standards, please note this on a calendar for when this will need to be scheduled. 

Mow / Edge / Mulch

Please freshen any garden beds and fully weed/mow/edge around the property. The tenants are required to maintain these areas while occupying the home and we want to be able to keep them to a high standard, when these items are left unattended we cannot uphold that standard the way we need to. 

It’s important to note that tenants will follow a very similar checklist when they move out. By having consistent standards across the board, we can significantly reduce the costs associated with tenant turnover, ultimately benefiting both parties.
